Pay: $30.00 - $40.00/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire
Overview: Summit Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to support a manufacturing facility in the Bloomingdale area. This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machinery and other production equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical and electrical background and is comfortable diagnosing equipment problems in a machine shop or manufacturing environment. Previous hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machinery is required for this position. Please see below for additional information.
Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair CNC machinery and other production equipment
  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Diagnose equipment failures and replace or repair defective components
  • Repair and replace motors, belts, switches, wiring, fuses, and other machine components
  • Use multimeters, hand tools, and power tools to diagnose and complete repairs
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and repair instructions
  • Perform preventive maintenance on CNC machines and other production equipment
  • Inspect machine components for wear, damage, and misalignment
  • Dismantle machinery as needed to access and repair problem areas
  • Test machinery after repairs to ensure proper operation
  • Assist with installation of new production machinery and equipment
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and unscheduled equipment repairs
  • Help develop and improve preventive maintenance procedures
  • Perform general facility maintenance as needed
  • Document completed maintenance and repair work


Required Experience / Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience repairing and troubleshooting CNC machinery is required
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to use an electrical multimeter
  • Experience working with motors, wiring, switches, and other electrical components
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Previous maintenance experience in a machine shop, metal fabrication, CNC machining, or similar manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
  • Ability to read equipment manuals, safety procedures, and maintenance instructions
  • Associate or technical degree in a related field is preferred but not required with relevant experience
