Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Systems Administrator to support and maintain critical infrastructure in San Jose, California. This Long-term Contract position focuses on cloud platforms, directory services, backup operations, and core enterprise systems that keep the environment secure and reliable. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, infrastructure monitoring, and hybrid environments while working across day-to-day administration and issue resolution.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee Microsoft Azure services, ensuring stable performance, secure configuration, and ongoing operational support across the environment.
• Administer backup and disaster recovery processes, including management of Veeam jobs, recovery testing, and issue remediation.
• Maintain and support hybrid Active Directory environments, including user access, policies, synchronization, and identity-related troubleshooting.
• Manage public-facing infrastructure components to promote availability, security, and dependable system operation.
• Support file sharing platforms by handling configuration, access concerns, performance issues, and service troubleshooting.
• Administer secure file transfer services and resolve connectivity, authentication, and operational problems as needed.
• Use SolarWinds to track system health, respond to alerts, and help prevent service disruptions through proactive monitoring.
• Provide support for Active Directory Federation Services and related authentication services used across integrated systems.
• Administer Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and assist with VMware environment support, maintenance, and troubleshooting.• Hands-on experience administering Active Directory in enterprise or hybrid environments.
• Strong background supporting Microsoft Windows Server platforms.
• Practical knowledge of Azure Active Directory and related Microsoft cloud services.
• Experience with backup and recovery tools, including Veeam or similar enterprise solutions.
• Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds.
• Ability to troubleshoot file services, secure transfer tools, and identity or access-related issues.
• Working knowledge of SCCM, ADFS, and VMware administration.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple infrastructure priorities effectively.
