Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of small to midsized technology initiatives within a large construction organization. This person will provide dedicated ownership to important projects that require stronger coordination, structure, and follow-through.
The ideal candidate has at least five years of project management experience and enjoys being close to the work—gathering high-level requirements, coordinating stakeholders, managing timelines and action items, and driving projects through completion. This is an opportunity to manage a variety of initiatives, build relationships across the business, and make an immediate impact by ensuring key priorities receive the attention needed to move forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple small to midsized technology projects from initiation through completion.
- Take ownership of projects, requests, and requirements that need additional coordination and follow-through.
- Gather and document high-level business and technical requirements.
- Build and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, action items, and status reports.
- Schedule and lead meetings, document decisions, and consistently follow up on outstanding items.
- Coordinate across business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and leadership.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and roadblocks and escalate them appropriately.
- Facilitate standard Agile ceremonies and support teams working within an Agile environment.
- Maintain project documentation and governance requirements in ServiceNow and Azure DevOps.
- Handle the administrative and execution-focused responsibilities required to keep projects organized and progressing.
Required Qualifications
- Approximately five or more years of hands-on project management experience.
- Solid understanding of fundamental project management practices.
- Previous experience working in an Agile environment.
- Ability to independently manage several smaller projects and competing priorities.
- Experience gathering high-level requirements and supporting project analysis.
- Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- Effective stakeholder-management and communication skills.
- Willingness to handle execution-heavy work and take ownership of projects that need additional support.
- Collaborative, adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working without a large support structure.
- PMP, Scrum Master, or a related certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting technology projects within construction, engineering, infrastructure, industrial services, or a similarly project-driven environment.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow and Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project or similar project-planning tools.
- Exposure to AI, enterprise applications, or M&A-related technology projects.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Ideal Candidate
This role is best suited for an eager, dependable Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership and being directly involved in project execution. They are willing to roll up their sleeves, manage the essential day-to-day details of delivery, and bring structure to projects that need stronger ownership. They can assist with requirements and analysis, but they are ultimately a Project Manager—not solely a Business Analyst or project coordinator.
