\nMcLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with 30 - 40 years of experience to support on-going systems engineering tasking within the NUWC Division, Newport Torpedo Division. These systems employ electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and other technologies. Responsibilities include performing system analyses, system design studies, system testing, data collection and analysis, development, review and update test procedures, and review of technical documentation.\n
\n
\nResponsibilities include:\n
\n
\nCandidate applies knowledge of system engineering and scientific methods and tools to define and characterize behavior of products and processes.\n
\n
\nIntegrate technical, cost, and safety considerations into the product definition to comply with Department of Defense requirements.\n
\n
\nDevelop and interpret requirements, drawings, data sets, reports, and specifications.\n
\n
\nInterface with other members of project teams to define and implement engineering solutions to meet systems mission objectives.\n
\n
\nHelp resolve programmatic and technical problems that would affect cost, schedule, and performance. Develop, document and maintain processes, methods, and tools\n
\n

Required Qualifications:\n
\n
\nBachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline or Related Field\n
\nJob related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree\n
\n
\n30 - 40 years of Torpedo system engineering experience to include the knowledge in system development and analyses systems, control, and propulsion systems and tools.\n
\n
\nThe individual should be goal-oriented and have a strong work ethic.\n
\n
\nThe ability to multi-task and work in a team environment is essential.\n
\n
\nThe ability to develop solutions to complex technical problems.\n
\n
\nThis position requires the ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.\n
\n
Preferred Qualifications:\n
\n
\nTorpedo/Submarine system or sub-system engineering and test experience is a plus.\n
