Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support a large manufacturing facility in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate brings hands-on multi-craft maintenance experience and a strong commitment to equipment reliability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, boiler, and pneumatic equipment with minimal supervision
- Respond to maintenance work orders and prioritize repairs to minimize equipment downtime
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
- Support installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment and facility improvements
- Assist in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives
- Plan maintenance projects, obtain material and cost estimates, and execute under maintenance leadership direction
- Fabricate, modify, and repair equipment components to support production operations
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards, quality systems, and audit requirements
- Identify unsafe conditions and proactively promote a safe work environment
Required Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance practices
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and work independently
- High School Diploma or GED
