Position Summary

The Security Guard is responsible for monitoring company property, controlling facility access, conducting security patrols, and responding appropriately to emergencies and security concerns. This position plays a vital role in protecting company assets while providing exceptional customer service to employees and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol company buildings, grounds, and parking areas.

• Control access to the facility by verifying employee, visitor, and contractor credentials.

• Monitor security cameras, alarms, and other surveillance equipment.

• Conduct routine inspections of buildings and property to identify safety or security concerns.

• Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, alarms, and medical situations.

• Prepare detailed incident and daily activity reports.

• Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.

• Assist with traffic control and parking during peak activity or special events.

• Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders when necessary.

• Report unsafe conditions, suspicious activity, or security breaches immediately.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Previous security, military, law enforcement, or industrial experience preferred.

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Basic computer skills for report writing and security systems.

• Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Walk and stand for extended periods.

• Patrol indoor and outdoor areas in various weather conditions.

• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

• Climb stairs and perform routine inspections throughout the facility.
