Aegis Worldwide is currently partnered with a manufacturing organization in the Indianapolis area seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead its plant maintenance and reliability team.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours with occasional on-call support for a 24/7 operation
\n
\n
Position Summary
\n
A well-established advanced manufacturing organization is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a team of approximately 22–24 maintenance professionals supporting a highly technical production environment.
\n
\n
This position is focused on maintenance leadership, equipment reliability, TPM, preventive/predictive maintenance, and reducing production downtime. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for directing the team, prioritizing maintenance activities, improving maintenance systems, and ensuring production equipment remains safe and reliable.
\n
This is primarily a leadership role rather than a hands-on technician position.

Responsibilities
\n

- Lead and develop a team of approximately 22–24 maintenance professionals
- Establish and improve TPM, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and reliability programs
- Improve equipment uptime, OEE, PM compliance, MTBF, MTTR, and overall maintenance performance
- Lead maintenance planning, scheduling, and equipment-prioritization activities
- Perform and lead root-cause analysis for recurring equipment failures
- Manage CMMS processes, work orders, equipment history, and maintenance metrics
- Develop spare-parts and MRO inventory strategies
- Coordinate outside contractors, vendors, and specialized service providers
- Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and Continuous Improvement
- Promote Lean manufacturing, TPM, equipment ownership, and continuous improvement
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, accountability, and technician development

Qualifications
\n
- \n
- 8+ years of manufacturing maintenance, reliability, engineering, or operations experience
- Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience implementing or significantly improving TPM, PM, predictive maintenance, or reliability programs
- Strong knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment and maintenance systems
- Experience with CMMS systems, maintenance planning, scheduling, and work-order management
- Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills
- Experience leading maintenance teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication, organizational, and cross-functional leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered

- Automotive, aerospace, metals, coatings, heat treat, or other advanced manufacturing experience
- Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or reliability certification
- Experience with automation, robotics, PLC-controlled equipment, conveyors, or complex production systems
- Experience with vacuum systems, furnaces, utilities, or similar industrial equipment
- Experience improving OEE, downtime, PM compliance, MTBF, and MTTR
- Capital-project and equipment-installation experience
