Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Daytime Janitorial Porter to help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of our car dealership. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a strong work ethic, and understands the importance of maintaining a professional, welcoming environment for both customers and employees.
This is a part-time position with the possibility of transitioning to full-time based on performance, attendance, reliability, and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the dealership, including showrooms, offices, restrooms, customer areas, and common spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas
- Clean and restock restrooms as needed
- Empty trash and recycling throughout the facility
- Keep entrances, walkways, and customer areas neat and presentable
- Clean windows, glass doors, and other surfaces as needed
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness throughout the day
- Assist with light cleaning and general facility maintenance tasks
- Help maintain a professional appearance of the dealership for customers and staff
- Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning products and equipment
- Report maintenance issues, spills, damage, or other concerns to management
- Perform other janitorial and porter duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, custodial, porter, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required
- Reliable and punctual with a strong attendance record
- Ability to work independently and stay on task
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and employees
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical cleaning duties throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment as needed
- Must be dependable, trustworthy, and professional
- Must successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment
