Job DescriptionMaintenance Technician
Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift
A well-established food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for 3rd shift. This is a hands-on role responsible for keeping production equipment running at peak performance through both reactive troubleshooting and scheduled preventative maintenance.
Schedule:
- M - F, 3:00pm - 11:00pm
- Rotating Weekends
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues across production equipment
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, work orders, and technical manuals
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment independently
- Troubleshoot complex equipment using advanced test tools
- Identify potential failures before they occur and take corrective action
- Support plumbing, basic welding, and electrical work as needed
- Operate within GMP guidelines and maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Complete Lock Out/Tag Out and PIT certifications
- Communicate effectively with teammates and plant leadership
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Formal technical training or a minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and millwright disciplines
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and manual repair equipment
- Ability to read complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical drawings and troubleshoot independently
- Experience with PLCs, high-speed packaging equipment, or bakery equipment is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Must be a team player who can also work independently when needed
