Overview

Are you ready to join a growing team?

CTG is seeking an experienced Scrum Master II to provide servant leadership and Agile coaching for multiple cross-functional teams. This role will facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and mentor teams in Agile best practices. The ideal candidate possesses strong facilitation, communication, and leadership skills, along with a proven ability to foster high-performing Agile teams.

Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 12 months

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams utilizing Scrum, Kanban, and Agile best practices.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other team ceremonies.
  • Coach teams in Agile principles, self-organization, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote effective use of Agile practices including user stories, story mapping, TDD, ATDD, continuous integration, and information radiators.
  • Identify, track, and remove impediments impacting team delivery and performance.
  • Partner with stakeholders and Agile leaders to improve Agile adoption and organizational effectiveness.
  • Mentor junior Scrum Masters and support Agile knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Foster transparency, accountability, and continuous learning within Agile teams.
  • Support risk management, compliance, and internal control standards while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience as a member of an Agile team, including at least 2 years serving as a Scrum Master; OR
  • A combined minimum of 8 years of higher education and/or professional experience, including at least 4 years on Agile teams and 2 years as a Scrum Master.
  • Strong expertise in Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and team facilitation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and coach cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in multiple technology disciplines such as project management, business analysis, software development, testing, user experience, or deployment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Lean principles.
  • Experience leading digital transformation or digital capability initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Design Thinking methodologies.
  • Proven success fostering team self-organization and continuous improvement.
  • Experience mentoring Agile practitioners and Scrum Masters.
