Job Description
Location: Redwood City, CA / Hybrid, minimum 3 days per week in office
\n
\n
Funding Round: $XX M Seed
\n
\n
Industry: AI-native endpoint management, enterprise resilience, and cybersecurity
\n
\n
Founding Team: Experienced cybersecurity founders and technical leaders with previous successful company-building outcomes.
\n
\n
Team Size: 20
\n
\n
Technology: This Greylock-backed company is building an adaptive, AI-native platform for endpoint and device management. Its distributed architecture allows endpoint agents to monitor, reason, coordinate, patch, and secure devices locally rather than depending entirely on a centralized control plane.
\n
\n
Opportunity: This engineer will help architect and build the Windows foundation for the company’s next generation of AI-native endpoint management and security products.
\n
The role is primarily focused on C# and modern .NET development, but requires deep C++ expertise for native, performance-sensitive, and system-level components. You will work closely with AI/ML scientists, OS engineers, and security architects to determine how intelligent agents can operate securely and efficiently within enterprise Windows environments.
\n
\n
A major part of the challenge is delivering on-device AI capabilities while maintaining the lightweight footprint, reliability, and resource controls expected of a production enterprise endpoint agent.
\n
\n
Role (Key Traits):
\n
\n
- \n
- Windows Endpoint Engineering: Experience building enterprise endpoint agents, endpoint security products, device-management systems, or other software that interacts deeply with the Windows operating system.
- C#/.NET Development: Strong production experience developing Windows applications, services, and tools using C# and modern .NET.
- Native C++ Expertise: Deep C++ experience with system-level components, plugins, native-memory management, threading, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Windows Systems Depth: Experience with Win32, COM, WinRT, Windows Services, Task Scheduler, the Registry, WinAppSDK, GDI+/Direct2D, WIC, or related Windows technologies.
- Managed/Native Integration: Experience connecting C# application layers with high-performance C++ components through P/Invoke, C++/WinRT, C++/CX, or similar interoperability mechanisms.
- Telemetry and Diagnostics: Deep experience with Windows telemetry, Event Tracing for Windows, diagnostic pipelines, profiling, or system-level instrumentation.
- Resource-Constrained Systems: Ability to establish and optimize CPU, memory, GPU/NPU, power, and other resource limits for software running continuously on enterprise endpoints.
- Applied AI: Experience integrating AI/ML models, agentic systems, LLMs, or adaptive workflows into production software. Familiarity with GPU or NPU acceleration for on-device AI is especially relevant.
- Enterprise Deployment: Familiarity with Windows code signing, driver development, or driver deployment processes. Exposure to endpoint agents on macOS or Linux is also valuable.
- AI-Native Development: Experience using AI-assisted development tools to design, implement, test, and optimize production-grade software.
