Senior C++ Engineer – Global Trading & Execution | NYC

We’re looking for an exceptionally talented, hands-on C++ Engineer to join a high-performance Global Trading & Execution technology team in NYC. This is a highly technical role focused on building and optimizing statistical arbitrage and ultra-low-latency execution platforms within a sophisticated trading environment.

You’ll spend roughly 80% of your time hands-on engineering, with the remaining time focused on technical leadership, mentoring, and coordinating a small team of highly skilled developers.

What You’ll Do

- Design, develop, and optimize critical components across stat-arb, low-latency, and high-touch trading platforms
- Build systems designed for microsecond-level latency and high-performance execution
- Partner closely with business analysts and senior stakeholders on architecture, design, and implementation
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert across the front office
- Provide Level 3 production support for globally distributed trading systems
- Mentor and guide a highly technical development team

What We’re Looking For
\n
- \n
- 10+ years of C++ development experience in a Linux environment
- Deep expertise in low-latency C++, including cache-conscious data structures, lock-free programming, and the C++ memory model
- Strong systems-level performance experience with kernel bypass, CPU/core isolation, NUMA, thread/memory placement, and latency optimization
- Proven experience building electronic trading, market data, crossing, or execution systems
- Experience with exchange-native protocols, feed handlers, and co-located trading environments
- Strong architecture and system design capabilities
- Experience leading or mentoring small, highly technical engineering teams
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with CI/CD, build automation, Agile development, and SRE methodologies
