Superintendent (Direct Hire)

$75,000 + Free On-Site Housing After 90 Days
We're seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance operations at a 432-unit multifamily community in Haddonfield, NJ.
This is a direct hire opportunity with an established property management company. We're looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys solving problems, mentoring a team, and taking ownership of a property's success.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support the onsite maintenance team
- Perform and oversee repairs, preventative maintenance, and capital improvement projects
- Manage vendors, inventory, and supply ordering
- Troubleshoot plumbing, boiler, roofing, and building system issues
- Ensure work orders are completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
What We're Looking For
- Multifamily maintenance leadership experience
- Strong plumbing and boiler experience
- Experience with older/vintage buildings
- Previous supervision of maintenance team members
- Renovation and project oversight experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Someone who prefers to fix the problem, not immediately call a contractor
- Reliable transportation and willingness to live onsite after 90 days
Compensation & Perks
- $75,000 annual salary
- Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
- Rotating on-call schedule (approximately every 5th week)
- $1,500 monthly housing reimbursement during the first 90 days
- Free rent and utilities after moving into the provided 2-bedroom apartment
