Job DescriptionMaintenance Technician
Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent client in Greer, SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving automated production equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience with PLC-controlled equipment, and the ability to support automated manufacturing processes.
Maintenance Technician Summary
- $30.00/HR +
- Contract to Hire
- 1st Shift (7am – 4:30pm)

- Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment and automated systems.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
- Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled production equipment.
- Support robotic and automated assembly equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Install, modify, and improve manufacturing equipment.
- Support equipment startups, equipment moves, and process improvements.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to minimize downtime.
- Maintain maintenance records and work orders within the CMMS system.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Technical degree, certificate, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience troubleshooting production equipment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience reading electrical schematics.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradley preferred).
- Fanuc robotics experience.
- Servo motor and drive troubleshooting.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience.
- Automated manufacturing experience.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
