Job Summary
The Porter / Commercial Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of our clients' facilities. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, follows instructions, and can work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout assigned areas.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, dining areas, and common spaces.
- Empty trash bins and replace garbage liners.
- Wipe down tables, counters, doors, glass, and other surfaces.
- Clean and maintain entrances, hallways, and other high-traffic areas.
- Refill soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any damaged or missing supplies.
- Follow company cleaning procedures and health and safety guidelines.
- Complete assigned cleaning duties within the scheduled timeframe.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors and clients.
- Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous commercial cleaning or porter experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be punctual, dependable, and hardworking.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical cleaning tasks throughout a shift.
- Must be comfortable working in restaurant and commercial environments.
- Must have a professional attitude and attention to detail.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Schedule
- Shifts may include mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexible scheduling may be available depending on client needs.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
