Network Engineer – Design
\n
Experience: 5+ years of Network Engineering experience with a strong focus on network design and architecture.

- Design and architect complex LAN environments within manufacturing facilities, including routing, VLANs, subnetting, and voice/video protocols.
- Strong experience with wired and wireless campus Ethernet technologies and designing robust, campus-scale network infrastructures.
- Solid understanding of network security, including firewalls, VPNs, security protocols, and secure LAN design.
- Provide Level 3 Incident and Problem Management support, diagnosing and resolving complex network issues while meeting service restoration and availability objectives.
- Experience with network monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting tools to proactively and reactively identify and resolve performance and availability issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Transport, MAN/WAN, Structured Cabling, Project Management, and other technical stakeholders, within agile-focused sprint teams.
- Optimize network performance using load balancing, traffic shaping, Quality of Service (QoS), and network performance metrics.
- Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, configurations, design documentation, and technical specifications.
- Plan and execute network design projects within manufacturing environments, coordinating timelines, resources, dependencies, and stakeholders.
- Ability to review existing network configurations and translate them into new or updated network designs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to staying current with evolving network technologies, industry standards, and best practices.
- CCNA certification or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
- Knowledge of active and passive RFID technologies is preferred but not required.
