Role Description: The Facilities Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Cartersville, GA. This position is responsible for routine building inspections, basic repairs, and preventive maintenance on church facilities, equipment, and systems. Day-to-day tasks include performing minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, setting up and breaking down spaces for services and events, and ensuring common areas remain clean, safe, and functional. The Facilities Technician will respond to maintenance requests, troubleshoot facility issues, coordinate with vendors when needed, and follow safety and compliance guidelines. This role works closely with church staff to support smooth operations and a positive experience for all guests.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and basic Troubleshooting for building systems and facility-related equipment.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess skills in Facility Management (FM) and Building Maintenance to oversee day-to-day upkeep and support safe, reliable operations.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance & Repair for minor electrical, plumbing, and structural issues within the facility.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess the ability to follow safety procedures, use hand and power tools properly, and lift or move moderate loads as needed.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess effective communication skills to collaborate with staff, vendors, and volunteers and to document maintenance activities clearly.
  • \n

  • Previous experience in facilities, building maintenance, or a related trade is preferred; familiarity with worship or community environments is beneficial.
  • \n

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends for events, is required.
