Dealership Building Maintenance Technician – Job Description
Position Summary
A Dealership Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the dealership’s buildings, grounds, equipment, and overall facility appearance. This role helps ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment for customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities

Perform general building maintenance and repairs

Maintain showroom, offices, service department, and customer areas
-
Repair or troubleshoot minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues
-
Replace light bulbs, filters, ceiling tiles, and fixtures
-
Conduct routine inspections of the facility and equipment
-
Maintain dealership grounds including:
-
Lawn care
-
Snow removal
-
Salting sidewalks
-
Trash removal
-

Operate maintenance equipment and tools safely
-
Coordinate with outside contractors when needed
-
Maintain cleanliness of parking lots, entrances, and service drive

Set up and move furniture, displays, or equipment for events

Respond quickly to urgent maintenance requests

Ensure compliance with safety standards and OSHA guidelines

Keep maintenance records and supply inventory
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED preferred
-
Previous maintenance, custodial, or facility experience preferred

Basic knowledge of:

Electrical systems

Plumbing

HVAC

Carpentry

Ability to use hand and power tools

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work indoors/outdoors in varying weather conditions
