Job Description

Job DescriptionLead Full-Stack Engineer, Next.js/React & Applied AI

Picture your week: you kick off by clarifying problem statements with operations leaders, then map a workflow that improves how our teams and customers get work done. Before lunch, you scaffold a new Next.js service, model a relational schema in SQL, and wire up REST and event-driven APIs. In the afternoon, you lean on Cursor or Claude to accelerate tests and refactors, then experiment with an early agentic capability to automate a repetitive step. You deploy to Azure or AWS, watch telemetry, and circle back with stakeholders to iterate on UX, performance, and reliability. That cycle—owning an idea from concept through production and continuous improvement—is the heartbeat of this role.

What You'll Own

  • Design, develop, and evolve modern digital apps that serve internal teams and external customers in a modern manufacturing environment.
  • Drive improvements beyond the initial request when there's clear user or business value.
  • Own the full lifecycle: technical specs, estimation, implementation, quality, and production delivery and support.
  • Work across the stack with Next.js, React, SQL, REST and event-based APIs, and cloud services—biasing toward action and iteration.
  • Use AI-assisted tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) to ship faster, raise quality, and explore better solutions.
  • Build and integrate AI-enabled features, including early agentic systems and orchestration where they create meaningful outcomes.
  • Design scalable relational data models and contribute to data pipelines and integrations with a forward-looking mindset.
  • Develop and consume APIs with an ownership mindset for reliability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders—ask smart questions, seek clarity, and align on solving the right problems.
  • Drive momentum from idea through delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Uphold high standards for UX, performance, reliability, and code quality.
  • Adapt quickly as priorities shift; step into gaps and new challenges as needed.

Your Background

  • Senior-level full-stack experience with a track record of shipping complete products—not just isolated components.
  • Deep experience with Next.js and React.
  • Strong SQL and relational data modeling skills.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, building, and integrating APIs (REST and event-driven).
  • Hands-on work with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and third-party application services.
  • Daily use of AI-assisted development tools.
  • Contributions to data pipelines or analytics-ready systems.
  • Exposure to agentic systems or AI orchestration frameworks is a plus.

Mindset & Collaboration

  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes.
  • Thrives on small, high-impact teams where individual contributions are visible.
  • Curious, motivated, and resourceful; comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Quality-focused with keen attention to detail and UX.
  • Clear communicator with technical and non-technical audiences; willing to advocate for better approaches.
  • Collaborative, valuing progress over perfection; influence outcomes through trust and delivery.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Hands-on senior role with real ownership and accountability.
  • Tangible impact on both internal operations and customer-facing digital experiences.
  • Help shape modern engineering practices and digital standards across the company.
  • Deep exposure to AI, modern app development, and cloud technologies.
  • Scope to grow as our digital maturity expands.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 6–10 years of relevant professional experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Computer work for extended periods of time.
