Essential Staffing Solutions (ESS) is seeking reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated Apartment Maintenance Technicians with strong HVAC experience to support multifamily apartment communities.
Job Description:
This is a multifamily apartment maintenance role, not an HVAC-only position. The Apartment Maintenance Technician (HVAC Focus) is responsible for maintaining HVAC systems and performing general apartment maintenance duties, including work orders, unit turns, and make-readies.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems in occupied and vacant units
- Prepare units for new residents (make-ready/punch process)
- Complete resident work orders efficiently and professionally
- Repair major appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, and dishwashers
- Perform basic electrical and plumbing repairs
- Maintain community curb appeal and cleanliness
- Assist with renovation or property upgrade projects as needed
Qualifications:
- EPA Universal Certification (required – no exceptions)
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on apartment or multifamily maintenance experience
- Must own personal tools and HVAC gauges
- Strong HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance skills
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, and unit make-ready processes
- Ability to pass a background check
