Summary
Perform a variety of highly skilled maintenance work to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
This list is not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned according to business needs.
· Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
· Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
· Troubleshoot electrical pneumatic and hydraulic breakdown.
· Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
· Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
· Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
· Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
· Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers. Program or edit programmable logic controllers.
· Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools.
· Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
· Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
· Performs all scheduled maintenance on all shop and office equipment and the physical building including HVAC equipment.
· Work directly with all outside maintenance vendors.
· Assist and instruct Maintenance Person (General).
· All work is to be done in accordance with OSHA and industry safety standards.
· Work is subject to final inspection.

Education, Certifications, and/or Experience
· Requires high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
· Requires 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Requires general knowledge of manual machine operation.
· Must be able to read and understand Electrical and Hydraulic blueprints.
