HERON CREEK GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB located in North Port, Florida is seeking a Full-Time Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. The role of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will be to direct the upkeep of all clubhouse buildings, fitness centers, pools, and physical assets. They oversee preventative maintenance, manage budgets, supervise staff, and coordinate with vendors to provide a safe, luxurious environment for members and guests.

Core Responsibilities

• Building & Asset Management: Oversee the repair and maintenance of the clubhouse and surrounding facilities, including physical structures, and roofs. Daily tasks include managing house maintenance staff, general maintenance, including painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, pressure washing.
• Systems Oversight: Manage commercial HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems.
• Team Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate maintenance and janitorial staff.
• Financial Management: Develop and manage annual maintenance budgets, track operational costs, and assist with capital improvement planning. Maintains accurate records for inventory, accounting, and depreciation purposes.
• Vendor & Contractor Relations: Source and oversee third-party contractors for specialized repairs.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all facilities adhere to OSHA, fire, and health codes.
• Safety Committee: In charge of the Safety Committee for the club, conducts monthly meetings with department heads discussing safety topics, and does weekly safety inspections throughout the club grounds.
• Emergency Response: Serve as the lead point of contact for facility emergencies.

Key Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in commercial facilities maintenance, preferably in a private club, resort, or luxury hospitality environment.
• Supervisory Skills: Minimum of 1–3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and pool/spa systems.
• Software: Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills and a strong focus on high-end member service.
• Requires a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50–100 lbs.
• Comfort working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions (common in Florida) to include heat conditions.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing of ladder
