Maintenance Technician – Pasadena, TX
Location: Pasadena, TX
Pay: $19.00–$20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and repair of production equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone with solid mechanical aptitude who can perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and complete routine repairs to help minimize downtime and keep production running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical issues involving conveyors, motors, pumps, bearings, belts, hoses, and other production equipment.
- Inspect machinery to identify wear, damage, or potential equipment failures.
- Replace worn or damaged mechanical components as needed.
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and production line changeovers.
- Lubricate equipment and perform routine servicing according to maintenance schedules.
- Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and repair documentation.
- Keep maintenance tools, parts, and work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and proper PPE requirements.
- Work closely with production personnel to minimize downtime and maintain efficient operations.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and basic mechanical repairs.
- Working knowledge of motors, pumps, conveyors, bearings, belts, chains, and other industrial equipment.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.
- Basic welding, fabrication, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and follow maintenance procedures and work instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
