Job Summary:
An Armed Security Patrol Driver is responsible for maintaining a visible security presence by conducting mobile patrols, protecting property, assets, and individuals. This role requires vigilance, quick decision-making, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents while operating a patrol vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine mobile patrols of assigned areas, properties, or routes
- Monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents
- Enforce laws, regulations, and company policies
- Prepare detailed daily activity and incident reports
- Communicate with dispatch, law enforcement, or emergency services when necessary
- Ensure the safe handling and proper use of issued firearms and equipment
- Provide assistance to employees, residents, or visitors as needed
- Perform vehicle inspections and maintain patrol vehicle readiness
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Active armed security license/permit (state-specific)
- Firearms training and certification
- High school diploma or GED (minimum)
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
