The Role:
We’re looking for a hands-on, solution-driven Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance efforts of our mill machinery and mechanical equipment. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime, and supporting farm success behind the scenes.
What a Day in the Life Looks Like:
Machinery Repair and Electrical Maintenance
- Perform emergency and routine repairs to maintain uptime
- Read and interpret electrical schematics to solve electrical issues
- Minor truck and trailer repairs as needed
Preventive Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Create and execute preventative maintenance plans
- Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns
Maintenance Logging
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections
- Use data to improve reliability and performance
Schedule: Typical hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.4 days at Sparta Mill & 1 day at Chippewa Falls Mill (must be flexible to go to Chippewa Falls for emergencies as needed)
What You Bring:
- 1+ year experience in industrial, repair, millwright, or ag equipment maintenance
- Two-year Technical Degree in a maintenance-related area or equivalent work experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- Experience with electrical schematics
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
