What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a retail grocery location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter theft, unauthorized activity, and other incidents.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, contacting emergency services when appropriate.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and security-related incidents, maintaining accurate written and electronic records.
- Carry and maintain an authorized firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies, site requirements, licensing standards, and applicable laws.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
