As a Porter at Dbox, you will be responsible for ensuring that all public and common areas within our commercial or shopping centers remain clean and orderly. Your role will involve a variety of tasks to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the premises.
Job Description:
As a Porter at Dbox, you will be responsible for ensuring that all public and common areas within our commercial or shopping centers remain clean and orderly. Your role will involve a variety of tasks to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the premises.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain sidewalks, medians, walkways, and parking lots.
- Remove trash from all designated areas.
- Sweep driveways, alleys, and parking lots, and pick up loose trash from landscaped areas.
- Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and clean receptacle lids daily.
- Transport and dispose of waste in dumpsters.
- Push grocery carts to designated locations and remove unauthorized signs or stickers from windows and landscaping.
- Report any security or emergency situations, including break-ins or damaged property, to supervisors and security officers.
- Perform additional cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements and Conditions:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of basic safety practices.
- Ability to use a smartphone for Service Fusion, email, dispatch and property reports.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with arms, and stoop.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
