What You Will Do

  • Monitor and support mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life-safety systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and urgent facility issues.
  • Assist with room setups, furniture moves, and operational needs throughout the property.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, repairs, and equipment servicing.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed for specialized maintenance or repairs.
  • Help ensure compliance with safety standards, facility policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Support emergency preparedness efforts, including equipment checks and response procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and overall facility conditions.
  • Promote a safe and respectful environment for residents, team members, and guests.

What We Are Looking For

  • Required certification with The American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE).
  • Experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or a related technical field.
  • Working knowledge of general repair practices and building systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs in a timely, professional manner.
  • Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills for recordkeeping, work orders, and communication.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a healthcare, senior living, or long-term care setting.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and facility compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, fire safety, or environmental safety practices.
  • Technical certifications or training in a maintenance-related discipline.

What We Offer

  • A supportive and mission-driven work environment.
  • Opportunities to contribute to the comfort and safety of residents.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits, based on experience and location.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and ongoing training.
