PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Commercial QA/QC Specialist is responsible for ensuring that work performed on commercial projects meets established quality standards, specifications, and code requirements. This position works closely with project management, field teams, subcontractors, and clients to maintain high-quality workmanship, accurate documentation, and consistent compliance throughout each phase of construction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify that work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Read commercial blueprints and plan sets to identify, document, and communicate deficiencies or non-conformance issues; assist in developing corrective action plans.
- Maintain accurate and thorough QA/QC documentation including checklists, inspection reports, test results, and punch lists.
- Lead or participate in project quality meetings and site coordination walkthroughs.
- Verify that materials and equipment meet project submittal and specification requirements upon delivery and installation.
- Work collaboratively with field supervisors and installation teams to reinforce proper installation methods and resolve quality concerns.
- Prepare final quality turnover packages and ensure all project closeout documentation is complete.
- Support project teams during punch list development and final inspections.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and professionalism on every project site.
FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- 2-3 years of Renewable Energy Installation or Solar experience AND
- 2+ years of Renewable Energy / Solar Commercial Foreman or QA/QC experience
- Applicable Certifications
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and QA/QC processes.
- Solid communication skills with the ability to collaborate and influence field teams.
- Competent with digital documentation tools (tablets, smartphones, project management software, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge and understanding of general workplace safety and the ability to follow safety standards, as well as help the company improve upon the standards in place.
- Willing to travel to various job sites and work locations.
- Can provide a clean MVR, to drive company truck.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work 40 hours per week or more if required
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs. unassisted; push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- May require repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
- May require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking throughout the workday
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurability are required when job duties require the use of a motor vehicle
- Requires exercising of discretion in decision-making process and maintaining strict confidentiality with respect to applicant, employee, and company proprietary-related information
