Job Description
Our Valuation internship program is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in valuation and investment banking. Prairies internship program will provide participants with an in-depth look at our advisory services. Interns will work alongside our project teams, learning valuable skills and knowledge that will transfer to many professions. As a Valuations Intern, you will gain exposure to a variety of client industries and engagements, such as business valuation, ESOP advisory and other corporate finance assignments. Interns will work on their day-to-day responsibilities with support and mentorship from a variety of Prairie professionals. Our internship program is designed around our current business needs and the availability of the participant(s).
What you will be doing:
- Prepares client deliverables including, but not limited to: valuation reports, presentations, and confidential marketing materials (such as pitchbooks)
- Conducts industry and economic research.
- Assists with valuation modeling projects that could include, but are not limited to:
- Discounted cash flow modeling
- Creating guidelines for comparable company analysis
- Transaction screening
- LBO modeling
- Participates in project discussions and internal meetings.
What do we look for in candidates?
- Actively working toward completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree program majoring in finance, accounting, economics, or another relevant field of study.
- Completed coursework in Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance or Economics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage tight timelines in a team environment.
Other:First, this is an in-office position to foster skill development, personal leadership and team collaboration. Second, all candidates should be able to commit to working between 20 30 hours per week, in office. Third, all applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now and in the future.
Pay Rate: $21 - $23 an hour
