Valor’s production facility includes more than 150,000 square feet of manufacturing space as well 3,000 square feet of designated explosive manufacturing space and four dedicated bunkers for explosive materials storage. Valor supports American warfighters by designing and producing reliable, cartridge-actuated devices. As an approved contractor for U.S. Navy and Air Force, we also conduct ballistic performance testing on a variety of CAD/PAD devices.


Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):

  • Support Lean 5S initiatives to achieve a workplace that is clean, uncluttered, safe, and well organized to help reduce waste and optimize productivity
  • Attend and contribute to discourse during team meetings and leverage senior team members for knowledge and direction
  • Uphold Valor standards, values, and specifications
  • Perform Quality Assurance inspection and test of final and in-process components, subassemblies, and assemblies
  • Inspect and measure components using micrometers, calipers, part specific gages, pin gages, height gages, surface finish standards and other standard measuring equipment
  • Will conduct daily energetics performance / acceptance testing to include use of: digital multi-meters (DMM), helium and hydrostatic leak testers, digital radioscopy, ESD, No Fire, and other specialized test equipment
  • Accurately record inspection and test results in accordance with Good Documentation Practices
  • Perform compliant inspections using ballistics equipment
  • Suggest refinements to inspection and test procedures
  • Successfully communicate inspection and test results by both verbal and written means
  • Must be able to independently follow procedures and instructions to correctly process parts for inspection and perform all required process controls
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) for safe and efficient handling of materials.
  • Exhibit professionalism and attention to detail in all tasks when working independently and/or on a team
  • Actively communicates with supervisors, leads and co-workers to exhibit commitment towards teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate any productivity issues through chain of command as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Application Process: We invite you to apply for the QA Ballistics Level I position. This position requires use of information and data which is subject to US Export Regulations, including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 22 C.F.R. 120 et seq., and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), 15 C.F.R. 730 et seq. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S Government.


Basic Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder
  • Must pass initial and subsequent background checks to include maintaining eligibility according to federal requirements and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
  • Must pass preemployment and subsequent drug and alcohol screenings
  • Comply with internal non-disclosure agreement requirements
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
  • Prior technical training OR 1-year related work experience
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite in support of daily inspection initiatives
  • Prior QA experience
  • Prior work experience in a DOD-contract facility
  • Basic understanding of: GD&T including true position, certification / practical experience in any NDT discipline, and/or basic knowledge of electronic test methods / equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • RARE (less than 10%): Crawling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven surfaces and ladder, wearing a respirator, lifting over 50 lbs.
  • OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): Stretching arms above head, lifting over 15 lbs. to 40 lbs., able to withstand loud noise, handling chemicals,
  • FREQUENT (up to 66%): Bending, walking, pushing, transport, range-of-motion, reaching, twisting, sweeping, balancing, gripping, lifting to 15 lbs.,
  • CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): Repetitive motion, reading, standing, sitting, seeing, seeing distant, depth-perception, color vision, speaking clearly, hearing-speech-range, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, ability to withstand varying temperatures, attention to fine detail

This position works onsite Monday - Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and employees are required to take two paid fifteen minute breaks daily.


This position will remain open through noon (MST) July 29, 2026, and will close sooner if filled. A current temporary assigned resource has been identified to be converted to a full-time equivalent as a result of this posting.
