Position Overview:
The Detailer/Janitor plays an important role in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and a safe working environment throughout the manufacturing facility. This position ensures that production areas, offices, restrooms, and common spaces are kept clean and in good working order. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and follows all safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of production areas, offices, lunchrooms, and restrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and remove waste and recyclables from designated areas.
• Clean and detail equipment, machinery exteriors, and workstations as required.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and inventory; notify supervisor when reordering is needed.
• Assist with facility organization — moving pallets, tools, or materials as needed.
• Follow safety and hygiene procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Support general maintenance and housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, safe, and compliant workplace.
• Report any damage, safety hazards, or maintenance needs promptly.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or janitorial role preferred.
• Ability to operate basic cleaning and maintenance equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean work environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures (WHMIS or OSHA awareness an asset).
