Job DescriptionMaintenance & Installation Technician

Location: Ocala, FL
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Position Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Position Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance & Installation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment. This position requires strong technical skills, the ability to solve equipment issues efficiently, and a willingness to travel to customer sites when needed.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, test, and repair machinery and equipment.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

  • Assemble and install equipment according to specifications.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.

  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.

  • Provide technical support and basic equipment training to customers.

  • Complete service documentation and reports accurately.

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Technology preferred.

  • 5+ years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment preferred.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, motors, wiring, and controls.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and troubleshooting equipment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.

  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

  • Valid driver's license required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Frequent use of hands and arms to operate tools and equipment.

  • Ability to visually inspect equipment and components.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing, industrial, and customer-site environments.

  • Exposure to machinery, moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, dust, fumes, and airborne particles.

  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 75% travel required.

Additional Information
