First Call Security Innovations LLC is looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing team in Houston, TX. Responsibilities:
- Install, program, test, and commission fire alarm systems in commercial and residential settings
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system testing in compliance with NFPA 72 standards
- Diagnose and troubleshoot fire alarm system malfunctions and perform timely repairs
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Complete accurate service reports, inspection documentation, and as-built drawings
- Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction)
- Ensure all work meets local, state, and national fire and life safety codes
Requirements:
- Texas State Fire Alarm License (FAL) or ability to obtain one
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and local fire codes
- Experience with major fire alarm brands (Notifier, Simplex, Honeywell, or similar)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle on-call duties
