Location: Seattle (North Seattle)
Schedule: Monday-Friday (standard business hours)
Pay: $24-30/hr. DOE
Express Employment Professionals - North Seattle seeking a motivated and customer-focused Leasing Consultant with experience in affordable housing and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs. This position is responsible for leasing apartment homes, guiding applicants through the qualification process, maintaining compliance with affordable housing regulations, and delivering exceptional resident service.
The ideal candidate will have previous LIHTC experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with residents and prospective residents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct property tours and assist prospective residents throughout the leasing process.
- Process rental applications and determine eligibility according to LIHTC guidelines.
- Verify income, assets, and household information for new move-ins and recertifications.
- Maintain accurate resident files and ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations.
- Complete annual and interim certifications in a timely manner.
- Respond to residents and prospect inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Assist with lease renewals, move-ins, move-outs, and resident retention efforts.
- Maintain knowledge of Fair Housing laws and company policies.
- Work closely with property management and maintenance teams to ensure a positive resident experience.
- Support occupancy goals through effective leasing and resident outreach efforts.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Basic 1+ years of apartment leasing experience required.
- Previous LIHTC/affordable housing experience required.
- Working knowledge of income certifications, recertifications, and compliance requirements.
- Understanding of Fair Housing regulations.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
