The Position
\n
The principal challenge of this position is to lead and direct the engineering and maintenance resources in the fulfillment of Arconic’s business objectives. The position leads, and holds direct accountability for the PRoduction Maintenance Departments, as well as management of the Maintenance workforce in a matrix organization. The successful candidate must possess the ability to communicate effectively with all personnel, be forward thinking with the ability to obtain organizational support from the various departments and groups across Chandler operations. As a key member of the plant leadership team, this role requires the ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization to find solutions and effectively manage the implementation in a timely manner that benefits the overall plant.

Responsibilities

- Reporting to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, this position sets expectations for, and manages the Chandler Engineering and Facilities Maintenance departments to support strategic goals and objectives

- Serving as a change agent capable of increasing proactive maintenance in a matrix organizational structure – optimizing maintenance resources and use of a work order system
\n
\n
\n
- \n
- Promoting and leading the development and application of predictive maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, Total Predictive Maintenance, and control/capability of critical processes.
\n
\n
\n

- Maximizing the utilization of our internal machine shop and contracting out, when necessary, in accordance with union contract
\n
\n
\n
- \n
- Participating in the identification, recruitment, training, appraising, and professional development of engineering and maintenance resources
\n
\n
Essential Functions
\n
- \n
- Developing policies and setting expectations to ensure that EHS objectives, activities, and plans are achieved
- Leading and participating in the development of an interdependent culture and an incident free workplace
- Leading and being directly accountable for the Facilities Maintenance groups
- Developing strategic direction for the facility and managing the implementation of the plans including Capital planning and execution, optimization of internal resources, and improved overall plantwide OEE
- Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization in an efficient and direct method
- Ability to develop and foster team-based problem solving throughout the facility
- Ability to manage multiple projects and activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Qualifications
\n
- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent
- 10 years minimum of maintenance experience with a strong technical background
- High degree of people skills to motivate and influence others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Thorough understanding of Maintenance and Engineering practices
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- This position is subject tothe International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. permanent resident (I.E. Green Card holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred

- Master’s degree in Business
- 10-15 years of maintenance experience with a strong technical background
- Supervisory/management experience in a unionized environment
- Experience in Oracle database
- Thorough knowledge of Extrusion processes and standard practices with experience in various technical assignments.
