RestoreCore is looking for a motivated Estimator to join our commercial restoration team. Whether you have experience in restoration, construction, insurance estimating, or a related field, this is an excellent opportunity to build your estimating career while working alongside experienced professionals on a wide variety of commercial projects.
As an Estimator, you'll help scope property losses, prepare estimates, communicate with adjusters and clients, and support Project Managers throughout the restoration process. You'll receive mentorship from senior estimators while developing the technical and negotiation skills needed to advance your career.
Projects typically range up to $50,000, with opportunities to grow into larger, more complex assignments as your experience develops.
What You'll Do
- Perform site inspections and document property damage.
- Assist with developing detailed scopes of work for commercial restoration projects.
- Prepare accurate estimates using Xactimate and other carrier-required estimating platforms.
- Submit estimates for internal review and make revisions as needed.
- Communicate professionally with adjusters, clients, Project Managers, and internal team members.
- Explain emergency service agreements and help guide customers through the restoration process.
- Maintain project documentation, photos, notes, and estimate updates within company software.
- Participate in weekly production meetings and ongoing training.
- Support emergency response efforts, including occasional after-hours commercial losses and surge events.
- Continue developing estimating, construction, and insurance industry knowledge.
Relationship Building

What We're Looking For
- 1-3 years of experience in restoration, construction, estimating, insurance, project coordination, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic understanding of residential and commercial construction.
- Experience with Xactimate is preferred, but we're willing to train motivated candidates with relevant industry experience.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Willingness to learn new estimating software and restoration industry programs.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to local job sites.

Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting materials or equipment up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally. Candidates must be able to work in active construction and restoration environments and wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators when necessary.
Work Environment
This position includes a combination of office work and field inspections at active restoration sites. Employees should expect exposure to varying weather conditions, construction environments, dust, debris, and emergency response situations. Occasional evenings, weekends, or after-hours response may be required during emergency events.
