Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour (DOE)Job Type: Full-Time

About Thern:

Thern is a leading manufacturer committed to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician I to help ensure our products meet customer specifications and company quality standards while supporting our manufacturing operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform incoming inspection of parts and materials.
  • Conduct assembly and product audits to verify compliance with customer and company requirements.
  • Interpret drawings, inspection plans, schedules, control charts, and related documentation.
  • Test products for dimensional, mechanical, electrical, and performance characteristics.
  • Audit manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Support non-conforming material investigations and disposition activities.
  • Coordinate sorting, rework, rejected material disposition, and returns.
  • Monitor and maintain gauge calibration programs.
  • Support first article inspections and vendor quality initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Assist with Lean Manufacturing initiatives, Kaizen events, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Create and update work instructions and quality documentation as needed.
  • Guide team members in the proper use of precision measuring instruments.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician, or related quality role preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and quality documentation.
  • Comfortable using computers and manufacturing software systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
