This role supports an OSHA-regulated construction project in Memphis, TN, focused on setting up and pulling low-voltage cabling. You will work at heights using a scissor lift while installing and routing cable safely and efficiently across the job site.

Responsibilities

  • Pull cable from designated starting points to end points according to project specifications and layouts.
  • Set up, route, and organize low-voltage cables, including Cat5 and Cat6, to ensure clean and efficient installations.
  • Operate a scissor lift safely to access elevated work areas and perform cable installation at height.
  • Use basic hand and power tools to support cable pulling, fastening, and securing tasks.
  • Read and follow basic construction and electrical directions, including blueprints or layout instructions, as needed for cable routing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA regulations and site safety policies.
  • Inspect tools, equipment, and harnesses before use and report any issues or hazards to site leadership.
  • Collaborate with other trades and team members on the construction site to coordinate cable paths and avoid conflicts with other systems.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and fall protection when working at heights.
  • Assist with testing, labeling, and documenting cable runs as required by the project.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a cable puller or in a similar low-voltage wiring role, with at least 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with low-voltage wiring and cable installation, including Cat5 and Cat6 cabling.
  • Ability to operate a scissor lift confidently and safely while performing work at heights.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in electrical, construction, or cabling environments.
  • Understanding of cable installation practices, including routing, securing, and protecting cables on an active construction site.
  • Familiarity with OSHA-regulated work environments and commitment to following safety standards.
  • Ability to read and follow basic construction or electrical blueprints and instructions related to wiring and cable paths.
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to recognize and avoid hazards in an active construction setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Harness is required and must be used properly when working at heights.
  • Lift certification is preferred and will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Previous experience working on OSHA-regulated projects is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of low-voltage wiring systems and electrical wiring concepts.
  • Experience in construction, electrical work, or low-voltage wiring environments.
  • Experience with scissor lift operation in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other trades and project teams on site.
  • Reliable work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to follow directions and site protocols.

Why Work Here?

You will join a project-focused team that prioritizes safety, professionalism, and quality workmanship. The role offers the opportunity to build hands-on experience in low-voltage cabling within a structured, OSHA-compliant environment. You can develop and refine your technical skills with lifts, tools, and cabling systems while working alongside experienced tradespeople. The project setting provides consistent, practical exposure to construction practices and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

You will regularly handle low-voltage cabling, such as Cat5 and Cat6, and use basic hand and power tools in coordination with other trades.
