Position Summary
We are seeking a PeopleSoft Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize PeopleSoft environments supporting enterprise Financials and HCM applications. The role owns environment administration end to end — installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, performance tuning, security administration, and production support — while partnering with development, DBA, and infrastructure teams to keep the platform stable, secure, and current.
Technical Stack
- PeopleSoft: PeopleTools 8.5x+ administration, Application Server, Web Server (WebLogic), Process Scheduler, Tuxedo
- Upgrades & Patching: PUM images, Change Assistant, PeopleTools upgrades, Deployment Packages (DPK)
- Search & Monitoring: Elasticsearch/Kibana, performance monitoring and tuning tools
- Database: Oracle Database (SQL, tuning basics, collaboration with DBAs)
- Infrastructure: Linux/Unix administration, shell scripting, load balancers, SSL certificates
- Security: PeopleSoft security administration (roles, permission lists, users), single sign-on integration
- Integration: Integration Broker administration, gateways, node configuration
- Tools: ServiceNow, JIRA, Autosys or similar job schedulers
Responsibilities
- Administer PeopleSoft application, web, and Process Scheduler domains across production and non-production environments
- Plan and execute PUM image applications, PeopleTools upgrades, patches, and environment refreshes using Change Assistant and DPK
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot performance issues, and tune application server, web server, and Process Scheduler configurations
- Administer PeopleSoft security (users, roles, permission lists) and support SSO and Integration Broker configuration
- Manage Elasticsearch deployment, indexing, and search administration
- Support release management, migrations between environments, and root cause analysis for production incidents with on-call rotation coverage
Required Experience
- 6+ years administering PeopleSoft environments with PeopleTools 8.5x or later
- Hands-on experience with WebLogic, Tuxedo, DPK-based installs, PUM updates, and at least one full PeopleTools upgrade
- Strong Linux/Unix skills including shell scripting, plus working knowledge of Oracle Database
- Experience with Elasticsearch administration, Integration Broker, and PeopleSoft security administration
- Nice to have: cloud-hosted PeopleSoft (OCI), Autosys/JIL scripting, and experience supporting both FSCM and HCM environments
