The Custodian Janitor plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across facilities. Working primarily within small teams and often reporting directly to site managers or business owners, this position involves routine cleaning, maintenance, and supply management. The role typically operates on rotating shifts and may require moderate travel between multiple locations to ensure consistent care and safety standards are upheld.
Responsibilities
- Perform facility cleaning and floor maintenance to uphold cleanliness standards
- Remove trash and dispose of waste appropriately
- Sanitize restrooms thoroughly and regularly
- Manage cleaning supplies and replenish stock as needed
- Follow and enforce safety compliance and procedures
- Report maintenance or safety issues promptly to management
- Engage professionally with customers and building occupants
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Understanding of safety procedures related to custodial work

Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in custodial services
