Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol Access Assistant in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the warehouse, distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
- Monitor access points, screen incoming and outgoing traffic as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious, unauthorized, and/or maintenance-related issues to the appropriate contact.
- Support loss prevention and inventory protection efforts by observing site operations, noting irregular movement of people and/or property, and following established reporting procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
