Job Description

Job Description

As a Test Harness Engineer, you will create a controlled environment to execute test, validate performance, and troubleshoot, ensure systems meet safety and functional specifications as required by the customers. Maintain documentation on technical procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Will be testing wire harnesses.
  • Be able to use a Cirrus machine and such as Easy Wire CH2 or Signature Tough network analysis signal loss, multi-meter, EMI Testing cable loss.
  • Be able to select appropriate test equipment for testing purposes.
  • Ability to use all electrical meter testing equipment used for testing wire and harnesses.
  • Document test results.
  • Be able to apply customer test requirements, per specifications.
  • Ability to read wire harness diagrams.
  • Ability to create BOM’s for test leads.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5 to 7 years testing wire harness using electrical equipment, troubleshooting, and doing analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs,
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Solid works CAD helpful.
  • Ability to add subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
  • Good written and oral communication.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concreate variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to write test procedures/check list.
