Job Summary
The Facility maintenance Representative will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by helping maintain a fully functioning fitness facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Efficiency with various hand tools and occasionally power tools
- Problem solving skills
- Fixing items between multiple Planet Fitness facilities in Pinellas/Hillsborough county.
- Identifying issues that could need preventative maintenance before they become major issues.
- Assist more senior maintenance tech with jobs that may require more than one pair of hands.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Trade background preferred, but not necessary
- Basic computer proficiency.
- A passion for fitness and health.
- Upbeat and positive attitude!
- Punctuality and reliability is a must.
- Knowledge in at least 2 of the following: Basic Plumbing, Basic Electrical, Basic Tile work, Basic drywall
- Strong listener with ability to find work without being directed
- Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
- High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record may be required
Physical Demands
- Continual standing and walking during shift.
- Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally more.
- Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
