Golden State Care Center is seeking a reliable Part-Time Maintenance Assistant to help maintain a safe and clean environment. This role includes routine maintenance, repairs, and grounds-keeping under the direction of the Maintenance Director.
Schedule:
- Part-Time (30–35 hours/week)
- Flexible; weekends/holidays as needed
Essential Duties
- Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC)
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks
- Respond to maintenance requests
- Maintain grounds and facility areas
- Conduct safety checks and report hazards
- Assist with equipment setup and emergency repairs
- Keep tools and work areas organized
- Follow safety and OSHA guidelines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1 year of maintenance or related experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of building systems
- Ability to use tools safely and work independently
- Reliable with good communication skills
- Must pass background check and pre-employment requirements
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs; stand, bend, climb as needed
- Work indoors and outdoors
- Respond to emergencies when required
