Job Description
Construction Mechanics Inc (CMI) is looking for full time Apartment Maintenance Techs for work in Akron. Must have a valid Driver's License.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
- Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify safety or maintenance issues
- Prepare units for move-in, including painting, repairs, and general turnover work
- Troubleshoot and repair maintenance emergencies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of maintenance shop and storage areas
- Work collaboratively with property management and provide excellent customer service to residents
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies
Qualifications:
- Previous apartment, residential, or commercial maintenance experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
- Ability to use standard tools and equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
