Job Description

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Project Manager owns complex, high-value, and higher-risk custom exhibit, event, and fabrication projects from post-sale through closeout. This role brings senior-level judgment to estimating input, build approach, cost management, and client outcomes, while also mentoring other PMs and driving process improvements across the department. Senior PMs at TTG lead the projects that matter most – the ones with the biggest scope, tightest timelines, and highest visibility. With firm deadlines in the exhibit and event industry, this position may frequently require more than 40 hours per week, including work outside normal business hours or on weekends.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Own larger, more complex, or higher-risk client projects across EMP, sales, rental, custom exhibit, permanent install, graphics, and event activation work.

· Exercise senior-level judgment on project decisions, escalating appropriately while owning the direction of the work.

· Contribute to estimating on complex, high-risk, or higher-value projects, including material selection, vendor coordination, and cost breakdowns.

· Lead cross-functional coordination across Sales, Design, Engineering, Estimating, Production, Purchasing, vendors, and clients, resolving conflicts and keeping work aligned to scope, timeline, budget, and client expectations.

· Lead project planning meetings by setting timelines, identifying risks, clarifying ownership, closing communication gaps, and creating clear paths forward when project conditions change.

· Develop, maintain, and communicate project timelines for complex work, including schedule changes, previews, vendor deadlines, production milestones, shipping requirements, and client-facing updates.

· Ensure Business Central records are accurate and complete, including sales lines, orders, work orders, BOMs, shipment orders, approvals, deposits, quotes, calendars, and backup documents.

· Review and release sales agreements, sales orders, and work orders with the judgment needed to support drawings, setup instructions, production, fulfillment, and downstream execution.

· Coordinate complex vendor activity, including quotes, pricing, markups, purchase orders, confirmations, delivery details, shipping needs, and raw material requirements.

· Monitor open orders, job tracking, project progress, costs, inventory needs, and monthly closing requirements, escalating risks or delays before they affect client outcomes.

· Coordinate previews, site visits, show supervision, project follow-up, exhibit return reconciliation, final billing readiness, balance collection, and sale closure for assigned complex projects.

· Support Sales with presentations, event execution, and cross-functional coordination, especially where senior project judgment is needed to protect client expectations and company commitments.

· Own project cost tracking, margin awareness, and financial closeout for assigned projects.

· Serve as primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring alignment between client expectations, project execution, and internal capacity.

· Mentor and support Project Managers in client communication, internal coordination, time management, order processing, show services, installation and dismantle supervision, project reconciliation, and meeting execution.

· Serve as an escalation resource for project risks, client concerns, communication gaps, service recovery needs, and workflow issues requiring senior-level judgment.

· Recommend service level improvements, best practices, and process refinements to leadership based on client feedback, project lessons learned, and recurring execution challenges.

· Help establish and reinforce repeatable project workflows between Sales and required departments so projects can be completed within client deadlines and company standards.

· Note: Projects include a mix of custom fabrication, graphics, and event execution — Sr. PMs should be comfortable working across both build-side and event-side teams

· Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· An associate or bachelor’s degree.

· Five or more years of project management experience, with a track record of managing complex, cross-functional, or higher-risk projects, ideally in exhibits, events, or custom fabrication.

· Working knowledge of Business Central, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and related business systems, with the ability to maintain accurate project records and support downstream execution.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, vendors, internal teams, leadership, and other Project Managers.

· Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, maintain accuracy, and exercise sound judgment under pressure.

· Ability to lead through ambiguity, evaluate project risks, resolve competing priorities, and recommend practical solutions.

· Practical problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate project needs, research material options, and balance performance, cost, and schedule requirements.

· Ability to support purchasing activity, including sourcing raw materials, coordinating outsourced components, and working with approved vendors.

· Ability to mentor Project Managers, reinforce department standards, and guide others through project coordination, documentation, escalation, and client communication practices.

· Ability to identify recurring workflow issues and recommend practical improvements to leadership.

· Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality while building effective working relationships.

· Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
