Job Description

Our client is seeking a hands-on and driven 1st shift Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment reliability, product quality, and operational efficiency across the facility.

You’ll oversee a skilled maintenance team, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and help build a culture rooted in safety, accountability, and performance.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

\n

    \n
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and leads to achieve operational excellence
  • \n

  • Oversee daily maintenance activities, including scheduling, workload prioritization, and performance management
  • \n

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, GMPs, and environmental regulations
  • \n

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues to minimize downtime
  • \n

  • Review production and maintenance reports to identify trends and implement improvements
  • \n

  • Maintain and promote a 5S and continuous improvement culture
  • \n

  • Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of maintenance personnel
  • \n

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and leadership teams
  • \n

  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions when necessary
  • \n

  • Ensure accurate tracking of maintenance activities and labor through systems such as EAM/SAP
  • \n

Projects You’ll Work On

  • Improving preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime
  • \n

  • Enhancing equipment reliability across high-speed production lines
  • \n

  • Supporting capital improvement and equipment upgrade initiatives
  • \n

  • Driving safety initiatives, including OSHA compliance and Arc Flash (NFPA 70E) programs
  • \n

  • Optimizing maintenance planning and scheduling processes using EAM/SAP systems
  • \n

What Experience You Should Bring

\n

    \n
  • 3–5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • \n

  • Strong background in electrical systems (up to 480V), motor controls, and troubleshooting
  • \n

  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting (programming exposure preferred)
  • \n

  • Familiarity with power transmission systems, pneumatics, and blueprint/ladder logic reading
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of food production processes or similar regulated environments
  • \n

  • Experience with maintenance management systems (EAM, SAP)
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and industrial safety standards
  • \n

  • Proven leadership ability with strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • \n

  • Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • \n

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
