Location: Metro Detroit
Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Weekdays with occasional evenings and Saturdays
Compensation: Starting at $17/hr + bonuses/commissions (if applicable)

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Leasing Consultant to join our property management team. The Leasing Consultant will be responsible for assisting prospective residents through the leasing process, maintaining high occupancy levels, and delivering excellent customer service to current and future tenants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective residents
  • Respond to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in person
  • Explain rental rates, lease terms, policies, and community amenities
  • Process rental applications, screening documents, and lease agreements
  • Maintain accurate leasing records and resident files
  • Follow up with prospective tenants to increase occupancy rates
  • Assist with lease renewals and resident retention efforts
  • Coordinate move-ins and provide resident orientation
  • Support marketing and promotional activities for the property
  • Ensure model units and common areas are clean and presentable
  • Complete weekly grounds keeping/curb appeal audit
  • Have the ability to assist with routine resident maintenance concerns
  • Complete administrative tasks issued by management and meet all required deadlines

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in leasing, sales, customer service, or property management required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software is an asset
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
