Davidson is seeking a Jr. Systems Engineer in Boulder, CO.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform technical planning, support design reviews, and support the development of a tool to communicate and track action items internally and with our customers.
- Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering, requirements, and design artifacts.
- Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature systems architecture content for large program designs.
- Conduct pre-review assessments to ensure readiness prior to formal design review.
- Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical).
- Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis.
- Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes for model development, tool integration, and team integration.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in a STEM field and 2 years of related experience OR Master of Science in a STEM field and 0 years of related experience.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Experience working along the left side of the "Systems Engineering Vee".
- Experience developing Systems Engineering models using the Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
- 1 year of experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices, languages, and/or tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody, or MagicDRAW OR Equivalent Graduate Certificate (e.g., CalTech MBSE).
- 1 year of experience with requirements management/analysis/allocations OR Equivalent Graduate Certificate (e.g., CalTech SE Fundamentals).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight and collaboratively in a team setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Object Modeling Group (OMG) Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Model Builder Fundamental Certification.
- Experience using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).
- Experience leading technical projects, assignments, or engineering teams. Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence) or similar agile workflow environments.
- Experience working with DOORS or similar requirements management tools.
- Experience using agile development methodologies within a hardware or systems framework.
